What they say about us, and how you can say it too…about us

Here’s a place to find out what they people are saying…and by people we mean people who are important people, like newspaper people and website people who know stuff about things and write about it or talk about it. Most people pretend to be our friends so that they can make sure we dont steal their wives….cuz we’re everybody’s wives favorite band….hey, that’s a good quote to use…but we made it up so it’s not a quote from someone else…I’ll make up a person….

“…Everyone’s wives favorite band..” – Xavier Humplestag (Munchen Jazz Reader)

There, that wasn’t that hard….and By wife, we mean significant other…so dont get any ideas about our level of intolerance…we’re highly intolerant, but not about important stuff like sexual orientation and martini style…more, we’re intolerant of intolerance…so we kind of hate ourselves for that…wow…two new PR quotes…

“(Tangier 57)..is highly intolerant…” – Fr. Thaddeus X. Snolfurty (Opus Dei music review)

and

“..They hate themselves..” – Dr. Tina Werty (Psychology Today)

But Really, we actually have real music/arts writers who write about us..so please if you need a good ACTUAL QUOTE, use these:

John Ziegler, a groovy cat who knows how to sport a turtleneck like nobodies business, wrote some nice things about us in the Duluth News Tribune on January 26, 2012.

“ It’s primitive and futuristic at the same time, like Gilligan meets the Jetsons.” Which to us could not sum up our philosophy any more succinctly. He went on,

“Tangier 57 presents with their new release a work that is simultaneously profound and accessible, serious as well as playful, undulating while being angular, and evolving at the same time as being well-structured.”

Thanks John! Undulating and angular! Makes us feel all Gaudi.

In the past, others have written about us too.

“..nimble, well-read and intensely curious.” – Ann klefstad (Duluth News-Tirbune)

How about that? doesn’t really talk about how awesome we shred…musically…but at least it’s something and is fairly accurate.

or this one by Matt Perrine. He actually talks about how awesomely we shred…musically…by talking about our “cheeky posturing” and the fact that we’re “so fresh and inviting” and my favorite “a rewarding break from the traditional Duluth sound.”
